How to be Consistent with Healthy Eating, Working Out, and Staying Motivated: 5 Steps to Overcome Quitting!

Ever wonder why being consistent with your food, workouts, and motivation is SO hard?

This blog will give you the reasons why and 5 things you can do to that work!

I want to introduce you to Christine because her problem is many of our problems, but she beat it in the Lord.

She came to me because she couldn’t stick to her goals. She would do really well for a couple of weeks, but then she would quit. She asked me to help her understand why she kept quitting. I asked Christine if she had ever made God the God of her fitness goals. She laughed and said, “What do you mean? He doesn’t care about the forty pounds I need to lose.” As we spoke, Christine started to cry and said, “I did this to myself. I did this to my body. Why would God want to help me, and how could He help me?”

Maybe today you feel like Christine. You’ve started and stopped your fitness goals more times than you can count—but you really want to see them through.

If you...

7 Powerful Strategies to Beat Hormonal Weight Gain

Sisters, I had a moment this week. It was like Jesus connected all the pieces of my fitness goals and my hormonal weight struggle. Everything clicked together, and I could see the clouds lift.

Today I’m going to share the things I learned and the conversation I had with a top integrative Doctor that made this happen.

If this is your struggle, I want this clarity for you too!

Before you read another word, let’s pray.

Father God, Help reveal to my Sister what is keeping her from her best health and fitness. Give her clarity. Show her you are with her. God throughout the day, help her remember to stay connected to you. The answers to her problems and the consistency she needs are found in you, Don’t let her lose hope. Father do a new thing in her today, show her it isn’t over, and the best is yet to come.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Okay, let’s dive in!

Stop Late-Night Snacking with These 5 Tips!

Picture it, it’s after dinner, but you keep wandering into the kitchen and wanting to eat. Why is that? I saw a funny meme going around social media that had locks on the refrigerator and pantry at 7 o’clock at night, and the caption said, I hardly eat all day, so I have to lock up my kitchen at night, or I’ll eat everything in it!

This is funny because it’s true, but what it’s doing to our health is no laughing matter.

Let’s gain Godly wisdom to stop our bad habits in their tracks! Maybe you’ve tried brushing your teeth, drinking hot tea, or you've even taken up a new project at night to keep you busy, but the desire is still there. What do you do?

Let’s turn to wisdom! Here are 5 things to evaluate when it comes to this sneaky health sabotager…

Are you eating enough during the day?

Skimping on calories throughout the day backfires at night. And excess calories at night lead to weight gain. Calorie restriction all...

How to Motivate Yourself to Workout

Have you ever just felt like not working out? You would rather fold laundry than a single lunge. Sister I have been there! But I have a few secret weapons of motivation up my sleeve to get me out of that rut and into the gym. Today I am going to share them with you!

Let’s dive right in!

The Word

Our first stop is the WORD!

“She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.” (Proverbs 31:17 ESV)

“For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;” (Proverbs 2:6 NKJV)

I want you to challenge yourself to transform your workout motivation! Don’t start the conversation with yourself, well I don’t have time today, I don’t really feel like it. Stop it by saying ay aloud, “Jesus, help me take care of my body!”

Spot the Traps

The devil will talk you out of working out with thoughts like you’re never going to look like you used to, it’s not working look at you you’ve been working...

Sneak Peek at My New Book, Fit God's Way

Today I am inviting you to come behind the scenes with me and take a look at the inner workings of my new book Fit God's Way. I'm going to share the good, the bad, and the ugly and some sister secrets here today. I want you to walk away with value and something that can help you right now that is always my goal.

When I look back at how this new book came to be, I see how God made the impossible, possible.

I felt really called to open up about this process, the rejection, the hard work, the success, and as I prayed, I heard the Holy Spirit say it's in God's timing, your faithfulness, and relying on Him to finish strong. I want to share the truth, the reality of all the hard work, the stuff you don't see when you look at a book cover.

I think sometimes we see the end result and we don't see the middle so today we're talking about the middle spaces where we give up and quit.

Okay, so I want to share the truth and the reality and how it doesn't look like what we think it looks like. So...

So, What Should A Christian Woman Look Like Anyway?

Chances are, if you love Jesus and fitness, you’ve experienced the pain of being judged! First, let me say if this has happened to you, I’m sorry. I know how this feels, and it hurts.

This topic lights a fire in me, and apparently, a lot of our sisters…I’ll share how I came to discover this in a moment.

Here’s the goal of my heart today. I want to share some stories of my own experiences and a sweet sister so that you know you’re not alone and, most importantly, what God says about this to clear up the emotional pain, confusion, and judgment. Today will be fun and freeing. Let’s dive in!

A Wordly Image…

The other day I was answering my comments and messages on social. Under a video I posted on teaching women how to invite Jesus to eat with them and how doing, so it helps us control our appetites, there was a comment with words I have heard before. Her comment said, “You are saying the right things, but your image is...
