How to Invite Jesus Into Your Fitness

This blog is part two of our Jesus Series and today we open our hearts, minds, and Bibles to learn from Jesus’ example in our fitness. This series is important for every Christian to know because we rely on the Word for help with our marriages, parenting, and finances, but what about our health, fitness, and wholeness?

Let’s dive in!

Give It All to God

Elisabeth Elliot’s quote captures this perfectly: “We cannot give our hearts to God and keep our bodies to ourselves.”

Has this ever happened to you? You walk into your closet to get dressed, and as you try on outfits a conversation starts in your mind—thoughts like, I need to lose weight, I need to start working out more, I hope no one notices the weight I’ve gained. You find nothing seems to fit right, and it’s making you miserable. You frantically change a few times before finally settling on your go-to outfit for those days.

How many times have you promised to eat cleaner,...

The BEST MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH: Failure is NOT Your Destiny!

Hey Sister,

One day, I was feeling really down, so I did a Google search on the best motivational speeches. I found a few that were great, but they were worldly. All hype, and no Jesus!

I know God had me go through this experience, so I could create the very thing I needed to hear that day. I prayed about what to say, and God blew me away with this. I'm so excited to share it with you. I pray it blesses you again and again.

Promise me you'll listen. And share it. It's very important that you press that play button and that you save this page. You are not alone on your fitness journey, so refer back to this as often as you need it.

I'm here for you Sister, and in case you want to read the words I wrote, here they are. I typed them through Holy Spirit-filled tears! God is so good.

The BEST MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH: Failure is NOT Your Destiny! by Kim Dolan Leto

How to be Consistent with Healthy Eating, Working Out, and Staying Motivated: 5 Steps to Overcome Quitting!

Ever wonder why being consistent with your food, workouts, and motivation is SO hard?

This blog will give you the reasons why and 5 things you can do to that work!

I want to introduce you to Christine because her problem is many of our problems, but she beat it in the Lord.

She came to me because she couldn’t stick to her goals. She would do really well for a couple of weeks, but then she would quit. She asked me to help her understand why she kept quitting. I asked Christine if she had ever made God the God of her fitness goals. She laughed and said, “What do you mean? He doesn’t care about the forty pounds I need to lose.” As we spoke, Christine started to cry and said, “I did this to myself. I did this to my body. Why would God want to help me, and how could He help me?”

Maybe today you feel like Christine. You’ve started and stopped your fitness goals more times than you can count—but you really want to see them through.

If you...

Girl, I just want to pray over your fitness goals!

You are on my heart today! I know the battle to get healthy is hard and you’re facing things today that you think no one understands, but Jesus does. I want to remind you of that today, and help you get free and on the right track in Him today!

I want to quickly say that I’m right there with you sister, and I understand the struggle too. I’m trying to make every food choice a God-made one, and I’m faced daily with the same choices you are. To work out or put it off. To look in the mirror and see a fearfully and wonderfully made woman of God or someone I don’t want to be. We are on this battleship together, it is not a cruise ship, so let’s get powered up and prayed up for the day.

My prayer for you.

Dear God,

I pray over my sister today that she would know you are there to take her pain, her hidden hurts, and you can help her with the habits that keep her from your best. Father, the world is so loud and the journey to be fit is hard....

How to Motivate Yourself to Workout

Have you ever just felt like not working out? You would rather fold laundry than a single lunge. Sister I have been there! But I have a few secret weapons of motivation up my sleeve to get me out of that rut and into the gym. Today I am going to share them with you!

Let’s dive right in!

The Word

Our first stop is the WORD!

“She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.” (Proverbs 31:17 ESV)

“For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;” (Proverbs 2:6 NKJV)

I want you to challenge yourself to transform your workout motivation! Don’t start the conversation with yourself, well I don’t have time today, I don’t really feel like it. Stop it by saying ay aloud, “Jesus, help me take care of my body!”

Spot the Traps

The devil will talk you out of working out with thoughts like you’re never going to look like you used to, it’s not working look at you you’ve been working...
