People tend to think of having children as the end of their fitness career, but for Meaghan Terzis it was only the beginning. Five months after her second child, Jack was born, Meaghan did her first shoot with Oxygen. As a mom, Meaghan is accomplishing her dreams.

Kim: Share a little about you.
Meaghan: My name is Meaghan Terzis. I live in London, Ontario, Canada. I am the mother of two beautiful children, Evi 4 years old and Jack 1 years old. I am a stay at home mom with a huge passion for fitness. I am a National level bikini competitor and a published fitness model.
Kim: Have you gone through a transformation?
Meaghan: I have always been into health and fitness and have always enjoyed an active lifestyle. Going through two pregnancies did certainly put my body through a lot. With my last pregnancy I put on 40 pounds and thought how am I going to lose this weight, so with determination my fat loss journey began.
Kim: How did you get your body back post-baby?
Meaghan: I started my weight loss journey very soon after Jack was born. I kept daily food and workout journals and took monthly photos of myself to track my progress. I was able to work out once a day, sometimes finding the time was hard with a toddler and a newborn, but I found it. I ate 6 healthy meals a day and by 3 months post baby I had dropped all my baby weight.
Meaghan: This past year I have accomplished goals and dreams I though were never possible. Five months after my son Jack was born I had my first photo shoot with Oxygen Magazine and this was such an amazing experience. Seven months post baby I stepped back on stage and competed once again placing first in my bikini division. I recently competed in the Ontario Provincials and placed first in my bikini category, qualifying me for Nationals. I will now be on my way to compete for my Pro card.
Kim: What is your favorite fit-mom, fit-family meal? Snack? Any go to items?
Meaghan: Nutrition and diet are so important to me and my family and I feel that by cooking healthy meals instills good eating habits for my children in the future. A fit family meal consists of a lean cut of meat, brown rice or sweet potato, a green vegetable and a salad. My kids love fresh fruit and I like to shop organic when possible. My favorite go to fit snack is low-fat Greek yogurt with a handful of nuts.
Meaghan: I love running so putting the kids in the running stroller and running to the park is a great fit family activity.
Also my husband is a big swimmer and water polo player so we enjoy swimming with the kids.
Kim: How do you stay fit amidst a hectic schedule and manage to do it all?
Meaghan: With two young kids at home life can be crazy and hectic, all tied into one so by keeping schedules and prioritizing my time I can manage to keep my house in order, dinner on the table, get my workout in and be the mother and wife I want to be. I have a great balance in my life and that is ultimately what it comes down to for me.
Kim: Words of motivation and inspiration for other moms?
Meaghan: I believe if you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything. I look at women and fit moms like Kim and that helps keep me inspired and motivated.
